Our alumni community is made up of diverse, talented, and forward-thinking global citizens who have gone on to excel in various fields. This year marked a special milestone in our school’s history, the inaugural Westridge High Founders Day, where we celebrated 26 years since our beautiful high school was founded. This memorable occasion brought together students, staff, parents, and alumni in celebration of our journey and achievements. It was a day filled with laughter, pride, and nostalgia, as former students reconnected with familiar faces, shared memories of their school days, and reflected on how far the Westridge community has come. The event also served as a beautiful reminder of the lifelong bonds that Westridge fosters, connections that remain strong long after the final bell.

I am entering my final year of university, where I am pursuing a BSc in Computer Science, specializing in Data Analytics at Asia Pacific University. It is ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world and #16 worldwide for international students. It’s been 2 of the best years of my life without a shadow of a doubt. I’ve gotten to meet students from every part of the world, be it Kazakhstan, Germany, France, Indonesia, Mauritius, and more. I have been privileged enough to have been given the opportunity to fly to places like India as well as in and around Malaysia as a student ambassador, representing the uni, fully funded at different events and meetings. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and there is so much more to come, BUT the foundation for all the rewards I am reaping now is because of the work I put in at WESTRIDGE. The journey was far from the easiest. Let me tell you now. I failed, I panicked, I cried (yes, I’ll admit it!). But I also learned, adapted, and got stronger. That’s the rhythm of growth. Westridge gave me so much, not just an education, but a family, a support system, and memories that I carry with me every day. Enjoy the journey. Celebrate small wins, life goes by fast. You're walking the same halls I did, sitting in the same chairs, and stressing over the same exams. But trust me, with some grit, a little faith, and a whole lot of heart — you’re going to be just fine. I believe in you. I hope you guys are taking care of my little sister Liyana! All the best from Malaysia!
I joined Westridge High School in 2015 and spent six wonderful years growing academically, culturally, and socially. From winning Interhouse Public Speaking and Junior Victrix Ludorum, to choreographing dances, performing at Cultural Evenings, and serving as Tennis Captain, Prefect, and House Captain — Westridge shaped me into a confident and well-rounded individual. What I loved most about Westridge was its close-knit community. It’s a school where every student is seen, heard, and celebrated, and where diversity inspires open-mindedness and curiosity. Westridge dared me to be bold, to question, and to think differently. I went on to complete my Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Namibia, where I revived and chaired the university’s Tennis Club and served in the Student Parliament. The confidence, leadership, and determination I gained at Westridge truly set me up for success. One lesson that has stayed with me came from Doc. Shayamano, who once said, “If you approach a subject with a negative attitude, you will produce negative results.” That advice continues to guide me — a reminder that positivity and purpose open the door to achievement. Stay blessed, Victoria Vimbai Munyanduki
